The Waterl<ss Story

We’re named WATERL<SS for a reason.

Waterl<ss was designed and launched in Cape Town, South Africa during the Day Zero water crisis in 2018. Faced with unprecedented water shortages due to severe droughts, Capetonians were faced with running out of drinkable water unless they could cut the city’s water usage to build back up a supply.

When we heard about this crisis, we knew we had to help in whatever small ways we could. Simply washing your hair can use over 10 gallons of water – water that could be used for other important needs.

Waterl<ss launched to offer the women and men of Cape Town a full range of flexible no-wash hair products for all hair types that can all be used without a single drop of water. From cleansing to conditioning, styling to fragrance, Waterl<ss was designed to keep hair looking, feeling and smelling fresh without every stepping into a shower.

As we’ve expanded to the U.S., we are committed to the same promise of water consciousness with our products.
